Lime Orchard garden design is available across much of the  UK. Our unique team of garden designers operate from locations including London, Kent, Surrey, Hertfordshire, Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, Warwickshire, Nottinghamshire, North Yorkshire, Cleveland and Glasgow.

We would like to introduce a few of the members of our design team here:

Ian

Ian Dexter - Garden Designer

Ian Dexter, Design Director of Lime Orchard, is a RHS Chelsea Flower Show multi award winning garden designer based in Rutland .

His extensive scope of work, built up over many years experience, encompasses commissions for urban, courtyard gardens through to large, rural landscapes all over the country.

As well as his love of gardening Ian also has a passion for our natural environment and in his spare time enjoys hill walks and trekking.

Anthony

Anthony - garden designer

Anthony's design and horticultural career emerged during his 12 year stint in the Royal Air Force. Having enrolled on a Diploma in Design & Horticulture at Bishop Burton College, memories of jets and salutes soon became a distant memory!

Anthony's new career as a garden designer flourished with over 150 garden designs, nationwide, under his belt and has a special interest in designing sensory gardens for schools and hospices. Highlights included a 'Best in Show' at Harrogate Flower Show 2001, a top award for his design at RHS Tatton Park Flower Show 2007 and involvement with a number of show gardens at RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

Sue

Sue - Garden Designer

Sue has been designing gardens professionally for 15 years.

The OCA course she took in 1994 cemented her belief that she had the imagination and special awareness so important in being able to see the potential in the most unprepossessing of plots. Having been told she had 'natural flair' and encouraged to give up her day job, Sue has turned something she loves doing into a career.

Sue has designed a wide variety of projects including a garage forecourt, a school's wildlife garden and a play area for a day nursery but her focus is essentially domestic gardens.

Although Sue had designed some larger plots, she really enjoys making the best of small spaces, creating that useful 'outdoor room' and tackling awkward slopes, creating usable, attractive places to spend time in. She takes particular care in ensuring that the gardens she create work on a practical level as well as having the 'wow' factor, and gets a real buzz to see the pleasure clients get from their finished garden.

Mike

Mike - Garden Designer

Mike has been a garden designer since the early 1990s. Being a gardener for over 40 years, having a long standing artistic flair, obtaining a design qualification in 1993 and the Royal Horticultural Society General Certificate in 1994 has provided him with a solid base of qualification and experience.

Mike has worked for many private and commercial clients throughout North East England, varying from small front gardens, enclosed town courtyards, manor houses, a local hospice, nursing homes and factory premises. Over 150 of his designs have been constructed to date with more currently in progress.

Mike listen prides himself on his ability to listen closely to clients' wishes and from the brief/questionnaire produces a unique, bespoke design for each individual customer to provide a garden to enjoy and admire.

Sally

Sally - Garden Designer

Sally is an experienced and professionally trained garden designer, working across the Midlands.

She has completed projects ranging from designing tiny front gardens to supervising the construction and planting of large historic spaces. She is also a university lecturer and garden journalist. Listening carefully to clients and working closely with them, she has a reputation for interpreting individual needs and wishes in order to produce gardens which are practical and very beautiful spaces to be enjoyed for years to come

Tony

Tony - Garden Designer

Tony, also a qualified optician, has been designing gardens for around 5 years, having study for a diploma in Garden Design at Merrist Wood. He trained under the highly respected designer and RHS judge Andrew Wilson.

His particular interest is in designing wildlife gardens but is ready to handle any type of project, having recently completed a roof terrace in South London and a design for a country home in Kent.

When not designing gardens, Tony can either be found in his own garden, (a haven for wildlife that he uses as a test bed for planting ideas), riding his motorbike or learning the guitar!
