Farmhouse in Leicestershire An orchard, walled vegetable garden, formal pergola walkway with old English roses are amongst the features of this extensive, rural garden design. Circular stone steps lead from an outdoor dining area and create a focal point from the oak framed Sun Room and a walled vegetable garden is glimpsed through one of a series of archways that give access into the garden, as well as creating enticing views. A rose pergola walkway leads to a secluded bench offering views back to the Farm House and gardens.
A Rural Garden - Rutland Water A circular reflection pool establishes a link to the views beyond and a stone built raised bed planted with Alpines creates a focal point to a paved seating area.
School Garden A scheme for a school nursery to encourage learning through play. The design includes a nature trail and sensory stimulation via tactile, scented and audible planting as well as larger shrubs for hiding and interacting with. A range of materials are featured, all with varying tactile properties. A shaded decked area functions as a "stage" for the children with a grass arc mound creating an ampitheatre as well as developing climbing skills. A water play area with sand and cobble "beach" is also included..
